We are just starting the pre-pro phase of a feature horror film shooting in August of 2010. This shoot will be for 5 weeks straight with 6 shooting days a week at about 10-14 hours per day. 3-4 weeks of the shoot will be shot at a very large farm and everyone will have the option of setting up a tent in “Tent City”. The tent field (tent city) will have enough room for 40+ sleeping tents, 2 large enclosed tents, portable toilets, showers and a large fire pit. We are offering this because the farm is out of the way of any large town.
Listed below are the positions and rates available. This is a low budget film so the rates are lower than union and are WEEKLY flat rates.

If you have your own vehicle, that is preferred as well, but not an absolute requirement. To Apply, send an email to AWDbostonPA@gmail.com with your résumé or credits-list attached as a PDF, and your DATES AVAILABLE IN THE SUBJECT LINE OF THE EMAIL. Also please include a brief paragraph in the body of the email explaining your experience and what departments you’ve worked with in the past, and what you prefer.
The positions available are as follows:
• PA/Driver - Will drive a follow minivan with producers, following contestants driving the streets of Boston. Must know how to get around Boston WELL, and have a current driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Producer’s PA - Will be working with one of the producers to assist them in facilitating their segments on a given day.
• Runner PA - Will work with our production coordinator to assist with different runs that may be needed.
• Stunt PA - Will assist the stunts department. Preferably someone with some rigging experience.
• Art PA - Will assist the art department. Preferably someone with art department experience.
• AD’s PA - Will assist the AD in moving set along. Preferably someone with experience on-set.
Though these are positions we have available, if we bring you on, your placement would be at the Production Coordinator’s discretion, so you may be moved around to assist departments other that those you start off with.

Subject: A Message from Chuck Slavin to Union Members
Dear Union Brothers and Sisters,
It has come to my attention that Rep. Steven J. D’Amico, a strong film opponent, is backed by the Massachusetts AFL-CIO. I am now asking for your support in ending this endorsement. I have drafted a sample letter you can use to submit to the AFL-CIO. I am pleading with every member of a Union to read this letter, personalize, and e-mail or mail. The future of film in New England depends on us supporting film friendly candidates, not FILM ENEMYS!

To whom it may concern:
As a SAG and/or AFTRA dues paying member, I am appalled and strongly disappointed by the actions of MA Rep. Steven D’Amico of the 4th Bristol District. His actions, voiced and written and by his voting record in attacking the television and film industries, have had and will have a direct negative effect on fellow brothers and sisters of various unions that rely on the film industry for their living. While he has tried to “act” as a union friend, he has actually used his position to foster his own anti-union agenda. He should not be supported in any way, either by endorsements, money and or volunteers by any union when and if he runs for re-election in 2010. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
_____YOUR NAME__________
